The Stratus mattress is manufactured in the United States using state-of-the-art "Clean-Foam" technology with no BHT- no harmful smells or carcinogenic chemicals. The Stratus beige-tone quilted cover consists of a zip on and off imported Cream Jacquard poly silk fabric quilted to 2 layers of 3/4" 1.5lb foam & 1oz HOLLOFIL® fiber. The cover is pliable and allows the padding to provide its pressure-relieving qualities. This is truly a very comfortable and desirable fabric. The Stratus cover can be surface-cleaned or zipped off and dry-cleaned and will provide many years of trouble-free comfort.
Under the Stratus' soft but durable quilted cover you will find a total of 9 inches of premium BASF-created clean-foam. The overall profile of the Stratus is 10". This medium firm mattress is soft to touch but highly supportive due to the unique design by Coverest. You can choose from either 1 inch of premium memory foam with 8 inches of support base foam for greater firmness or 3 inches of memory foam laminated to 6 inches of base foam for a more embracing firm feel.
The new Vx® memory foam used in the Stratus is the newest generation of pressure relieving material and makes traditional memory foam obsolete. Vx® provides a perfect blend of density, durability and comfort unsurpassed in the bedding industry today.
The Stratus is equipped with the most advanced open flame resistance technology meeting the strict California TB 603 standard. Other fire protection features include fireproof Kevlar thread in every seam in the cover and a fire-proof skirt along the inside of the cover border. This mattress is comfortable and safe enough for hotels, the health care industry and can be fitted with a state-of-the-art waterproof fabric inner cover (protecting the core) by request.
